It’s things like this that make me laugh when people say “stop whining about the paywall, just pay for a something awful account”

yeah like I would ever give money to these douchebags, he literally said he was going to get the paywall put up just because this one guy said “intriguingly moe” what a fucking dick

these things aren’t mutually exclusive. that ban is all of those things simultaneously

speaking as somebody that does not and never has had an SA account, but who has moderated an anime imageboard populated by a lot of people that i didn’t want to post with, this is pretty amusing. although  personally i would only have gone with a couple day long warning ban (unless i had banned them before or knew their post history was terrible) but based on the limited information available to me i aint gonna hold nothin against slowbeef

i’m not actually disagreeing with most of what’s in those quotes above me, i’m just throwing in a friendly reminder that not every place on the internet needs to be a nice place. admittedly, being too quick to dickishness and too quick on the ban hammer and etc can start to turn into some needlessly mean / unfunny crap / ivory tower bullshit, but there is room on the internet for insular communities with dickish sense of humors, everybody has their own tolerance for it but hey
